We've been really enjoying the Spring weather and playing a lot in the backyard. The trampoline that Grama and Pa bought us is a big hit. I love that they climb in and out by themselves now. But there are so many things in our backyard that I miss that our little people think are the coolest things. So, here are the lessons I've learned from seeing our backyard through their eyes:
- Snails don't die when picked up, thrown down and "pet" numerous times.
- There are lots of birds that love the top of our trees--including blue birds.
- Sticks are everywhere and great for sword fighting in Neverland.
- Even if you jump really high, the planes are too far away.
- Ladybugs are a rare but special prize. Especially if they land on your shirt.
- A simple raised plant-bed (stone wall thing) suddenly becomes train tracks to great destinations.
- It's not really fun until you crash your rocket rider off the deck.
"Even if you jump really high, the planes are too far away." SUCH a cute mental image-- the trips trying their hardest to touch the planes!
