Friday brought lots of rain with it. Good thing we had fun plans to spice up our morning. One of my mom friends from Bible study organizes "Fun Fridays" for women in Davis. Sometimes, it's riding on a bus or going to a park or the zoo. Well, this time it was visiting the fire station! Our kids are HUGE Fireman Sam fans (if you haven't seen this show, it's awesome. They're Welsh and it's clay-mation) so I thought they would get a blast having a real tour. Well, we braved the downpour and all piled into the main living area. Elia was in her element; there were at least 5 older girls who she immediately started mimicking and sitting with. Well, the "presentation" began and the guy was great...asking lots of questions to the kiddos. Everyone was getting so excited and answering his questions: "I do!" "Me", etc. You get the jist. So at the end, he decided to let the kids talk. "Anyone have any questions for me?" That's when the sweetest little person screamed, "ME!!!" It was Ellie. All eyes were on her. She looked so surprised. I honestly think she had no idea what just happened---she was so caught up in the moment of screaming and being a "big" girl. She just started giggling...and then so did everyone else. It was SO cute. And I was very proud of my little 2-going-on-14 year old. The trips then led the procession out to the fire engines and everyone was much happier. They loved getting in and sitting in the truck. We had a blast and are so thankful for the firefighters who let 30 toddlers start off their morning :)

Looks like fun...too bad it wasn't here at one of Aaron's stations! Next time you're in town, let us know and you can visit Aaron. :0)
