As one of the kids early Christmas presents, we got a season pass to the Sacramento Railroad Museum. It is such a great gift! We get free admission all year round and free 40-minute train rides along the Sacramento River. Today was our first outing and it was a huge success. Too bad this was also the last run until April :( Oh well. At least we have something to look forward to, right? The girls enjoyed sitting in the big, cushioned seats and looking at the water and trees. But they were done after 20 minutes. Coop, on the other hand, sat up straight and soaked it all in for the first 5 minutes. He got the biggest smile on his face and was so much fun to watch. He LOVES trains and couldn't get enough.
This has been a pretty tough week for us, with school starting at Davis. Dave has put in 15 hour workdays and been exhausted at the end of each one. So it was a special treat to hang out as a family and take a little excursion on the railway!
