1st Christmas Program

On Sunday, our church held its Chistmas celebration service.  That basically means we sang lots of Christmas carols, had a choir, the stage was full of trees & lights...and we had a kids program.
Now, this program was really just 3 carols that the children led the congregation in singing...but they were all dressed up as Bible characters which made it super cute. We had 2 wise men, 1 wise woman, 2 shepherds, 1 sheep (which both Coop and his friend Maddox claimed was "his" sheep),  4 Mary's...and a billion little angels :)
The girls wanted to be angels right from the beginning.  Elia told me "Angels tell people to find baby Jesus.  So, everyone HAS to listen to ME." (funny how selfish, proud thoughts can even creep into the Christmas story, huh??)
Coop was convinced the shepherds were pretty cool guys when I told him they were the FIRST people to find baby Jesus.  He also liked that they get a weapon of some sort. A staff.
He'll take anything he can get.

They did a great job singing their little hearts & voices out.  Their favorite song was "Angels We have heard on High".  I love listening to their renditions as they try to pick out the words. Sometimes it's
"Jesus we have heard on high" or
"Angels Have we heard",
"In ex chelseas deo", or
"Shepherds why this juvuree?"

I really enjoyed seeing the kids sing about Jesus and pray that they will desire to know Him more.

  2. It would've been funny if you let the girls be angels and dressed them up with eyes all over them, 6 wings, wheels for feet, and other scary things, like the angels in Revelation. Heehee!
