Uh-oh

What dangerous words these are. No one ever told me how just two words could mean such a variety of different things. Here's what they've meant lately in the Goffeney household:
  • Bath toys (letters and numbers) ended up floating in the toilet...uh oh!
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner foods being thrown over the high chair on purpose...uh oh!
  • Football being thrown into the sliding glass door...uh oh!
  • Trash can slamming down and toys being thrown in it...uh oh!
  • Milk streaming into a puddle onto the couch and floor from a defective sippy cup...uh oh!
  • Finger painting in the spilled milk...uh oh!
  • The girls pulling out each other's hair clips...uh oh!
  • Uh oh...the preemptive word before doing something they know not to do (i.e. touch the computer, the iphone, the remote, pulling out all the books, turning off the DVD player, etc.)
The list goes on and on and on...and I'm almost sure this is the beginning of it. It does crack me up, though, the way that every time it is said with such sincere shock! :) as if they had NO IDEA what was going to happen. Ha! In fact, the only time I really worry is when I hear Dave say "uh-oh". That's when I know we're in trouble :)
